About
Hi, I’m Heather. Nice to meet you.
For me food touches every aspect of my life. I’ve tried to separate them into neat little boxes but for me every piece helps tell the story of food.
I have a documentary approach to photographing food. I enjoy capturing the passion that chefs, restauranteurs and other food professionals bring to their everyday.
I personally have over 20 years experience in the food industry and bring the same passion to my work as a photographer as I did when I was a working chef. With my background I am able to plan for and anticipate what will happen next and how best to help tell the story of what food means to you.
I graduated from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon and Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana. I am a member of The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). I am the Director of Photography at the James Beard Award winning magazine Edible Phoenix Magazine.
I am available for local, national and international storytelling.
Do you like stories? Everyone likes a great story. Well I tell stories of food and how it comes to our tables. I tell stories of how it touches all of our lives without most of us even realizing it. How can I help tell your story?
Some fine art prints are available if you are local a select few of my photos are available at Jam and online at Society 6 and Red Bubble. I am an organizer of Cupcake Love-In. Photo credit goes to Terri Rene Photography.
